One big block we writers have is that sometimes we don’t know what to write about.
When you’re already struggling to make the time to write, it’s frustrating to finally sit down at your desk just to find out you have no clue what you’re going to write about.
One trick that keeps my writing going, and also something that means I will always have a reason to wake up at 5am to write, is my idea folder.
It’s not really a folder anymore — it used to be in the good old days or Google Drive, but it’s now a Notion page. Same concept though.
Us writers, we always have a few ideas floating around. But we’re not always in a time and place where we can just sit down and expand on them. That’s actually a pretty good thing, because we can jot them down and pick them up again later.
I normally take notes of my story ideas on my phone. I also have a cute A5 Moleskin notebook that I carry around, because sometimes it’s just nicer to write down something by hand. I also have my journal on me at all times, and if…
