In the last few months I spent hours, possibly days, researching.
Reading article upon article about the 10 things you need to know before launching your newsletter, how to turn your writing into a profitable business in less than one hour, and making money online alongside your 9 to 5.
I consequently spent more hours — definitely days — crafting side frills.
Designing a logo. Revamping my website. Refining my bio.
You know what I didn’t do?
Write.
Throughout this whole process, I did not write a single word.
I want to grow my audience. I want my content to get out there. I want my writing to reach more people.
But who’s going to care about what my platform looks like, if there’s nothing to read on it?
I didn’t realise that the one thing I needed to do was START.
Just start.
Don’t get distracted by external disturbances.
Don’t spend too much time selecting the perfect colour palette for your website.
Don’t even read too much about how to start.
Just start.
